Bigg Boss season 17 clocks 162 mn viewers, 92 bn viewing minutes: Colors

The reality show Bigg Boss attracted 162 million viewers and accumulating 92 billion viewing minutes (Source: BARC, All India U+R, 2 + NCCS ALL, TV + OOH TV, Original + Repeats, Colors SD + HD), said Colors quoting BARC data.

Colors further shared that the show dominated the non-fiction category. “The show garnered a reach of 34.1 billion, 15 billion views, 2.3 billion conversations, and a 99% share of voice,” it added.

On January 28, the show aired its Grand Finale, where Munawar Faruqui took home this year’s winner’s trophy. The winner earned the prize money of Rs 50 lakh and a brand-new Hyundai Creta. Abhishek Kumar and Mannara Chopra were the first and second runners-up who gave the victor a tough fight, leaving the viewers in nail-biting suspense.

Hosted by Salman Khan, Hyundai and Appy Fizz co-present ‘Bigg Boss’ 17 co-powered by Dabur Chyawanprash, Tresemme and Parle Platina Hide & Seek Cookies, Special Partner Ching’s Schezwan Chutney, Smart Lock Screen Partner Glance and Hygine partner, Haarpic saw the master of the house pick favourites for the first time.

Salman Khan was joined by Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, who graced the finale while promoting their upcoming film, "Shaitaan".

The grand finale also had Madhuri Dixit and Suneil Shetty promoting the upcoming dance reality show, "Dance Deewane". The atmosphere bubbled with laughter as Bharti Singh infused the set with her trademark humor, joined by Sohail and Arbaaz Khan.

Adding to the merriment, comedian Krushna Abhishek, transformed into various characters alongside Sudesh Berry, injecting a delightful dose of fun into the proceedings. Amidst the excitement, the endearing Abdu Rozik stole hearts, leaving an impression not only on Madhuri Dixit but also on former contestant Isha Malviya, whom he confessed to having a crush on. As the curtains drew close, Karamm Rajpal and Tripti Mishra were seen promoting their new show, "Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak".
