Disney+ Hotstar has achieved a new milestone in the world of cricket streaming by recording a historic concurrent viewership of 4.3 crore during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 match between India and New Zealand.
This monumental clash on October 22 marked a turning point for both the platform and digital sports viewership across the nation.
According to Disney+ Hotstar, this is the highest-ever peak concurrency number achieved across all formats of cricket.
Disney+ Hotstar broke its own previous record of 3.5 crore concurrent viewers, achieved during the India-Pakistan Cricket World Cup match on October 14, 2023, which had also surpassed JioCinema's concurrent viewership record of 3.2 crore during IPL 2023.
According to Disney+ Hotstar, this milestone represents the highest-ever peak concurrency number across all cricket formats.
