With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 set to commence tomorrow, Disney Star has announced the names of its final sponsors for the tournament.
The broadcast rights holder stated that it has onboarded 13 sponsors including Dream11, Asian Paints, Charged by Thums Up, Airtel, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Mountain Dew, Parle Biscuits, Kamala Pasand, Rupay, Britannia, Tata Neu, Jindal Panther and LIC.
In IPL 2022, the media conglomerate had roped in 15 TV and 13 digital sponsors. As per the reports, it had over 100 brands advertising during the matches.
According to sources, the television rights holder of the tournament has already signed advertising deals worth Rs 2,000 crore and is expecting another Rs 1,000 crore in the next two months.
Last year, Star Sports’ ad revenue from IPL was Rs 3,600 crore.
