Disney+Hotstar will begin streaming the movie ‘Malikappuram’ on February 15.
The movie revolves around an eight-year-old girl’s journey to Sabarimala.
The audience is given a glimpse into the devotion and innocence of Kalyani, the child, in the film, which has been directed by debutant Vishnu Sasi Sankar.
Malikappuram is a reinterpretation of the concept of God that evokes the virtue of a pilgrimage for both those who are familiar with Sabarimala and those who are not.
Child actors Devanandana and Sripad Yan have delivered stellar performances in the film.
Besides, them, the film's most awe-inspiring presence is Unni Mukundan as a Swami, who is trekking to Sabarimala. Saiju Kurup, Ramesh Pisharody, Ranji Panicker, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi and other stars also feature in the film.
Abhilash Pillai has written the screenplay for this film and the cinematography is done by Vishnu Narayanan. Santosh Verma, BK Harinarayanan has written the lyrics, and Ranjin Raj composed the music. Shameer Muhammad is the film's editor.
Under the banners of Ann Mega Media and Kavya Film Company, the film has been produced by Priya Venu and Neeta Pinto.
