As expected, the news viewership numbers in Week 12, which is the first week of the complete lockdown — March 21 to 27, have not only broken all the previous records but have raced ahead Hindi general entertainment channels in terms of reach and viewership.

Considering reach, the top three channels across all genres in Week 12 are Aaj Tak, ABP News and Republic TV. All three channels crossed the 20-crore mark.

In terms of absolute viewership in Impressions, Aaj Tak performed as per expectations and raced ahead of GECs such as Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV.
