If the first 34 matches played between April 7 and May 4 are taken into account, the tournament has grown about 14%, compared to the last edition

IPL 11 grows 35% in week 4 compared to IPL 10

Putting all the debate about its performance to rest, IPL 11 is lapping up viewership numbers, growing by 35% in the fourth week of the tournament compared to the 2017 edition of the game.

As per BARC India data, All India 2+, matches 27-34 of IPL 11 played between April 28 and May 4 garnered 196 million Impressions, up from IPL 10’s 145 million Impressions during the matches.

In addition, when all matches from 1 to 34 were considered, the tournament saw a 14% growth in viewership. All these matches played between April 7 and May 4 of IPL 11 garnered 832 million Impressions. IPL 10 had gathered 729 million Impressions in the first 34 matches.

IPL 11 registered a growth of 15% in the third week of the tournament (Match 18-26) against 5.9% growth in week 2 (match 9-17) and a growth of 8% in the first eight matches, compared to IPL 10.

IPL 10 was telecast on Sony Max, Sony Six (SD+HD), Sony ESPN (SD+HD) and IPL 11 is being telecast on Star Sports 1 (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Hindi (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports Select 1 (SD+ HD), Star Suvarna Plus, Star Maa Movies, Star Jalsha and one match with a delayed feed on DD Sports.
