As temperatures begin to rise, it’s a busy season for the air-conditioner market. With that in mind, Lloyd has also rolled out a campaign for summer, “Bring home Lloyd, switch on happiness”.

Conceptualised by RK Swamy BBDO, Delhi, the ad campaign aims to highlight the benefits of having a Wi-Fi-enabled AC. The campaign comprises three different TVCs that are being released in three different languages – Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu. They have been produced by three filmmakers, Priyadarshan, Shoojit Sircar and Babu Shankar.

The new 360-degree campaign features three superstars – Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal and Mahesh Babu along with three popular character actors, Satish Kaushik, Nandhu and Premji Amaran, playing their close friends.

The slice-of-life films show how one can operate and control the Lloyd Wi-Fi Inverter AC even from several miles away, using a smartphone with MyLloyd App. The ACs have with a new feature – 4D Express Cooling – that helps cooling the room really fast. The audience will be able to relate to the ads easily since these ads are inspired by real-life situations depicting friendly banter between friends and family members – something that usually happens in every happy Indian family.

As a differentiated creative device through these films, Lloyd has created an on-screen pair of friends: Bhaisaab and Sattu played by Amitabh Bachchan and Satish Kaushik; Macha & Biju, played by Mohanlal and Nandhu; Mahi and Gopi, played by Mahesh Babu and Premji Amaran. Through the interactions of these principal characters, the films showcase and demonstrate the advantages of Lloyd Wi-Fi Inverter ACs – all within a world of happiness that everyone wants to be a part of.

The brief of the campaign was to bring to the fore the technological edge of Lloyd products while reiterating the brand’s philosophy of delivering happiness, even more strongly.
