In Week 29 (July 15-21) of BARC India data, Star Plus and Zee TV put up a close contest for the No. 1 position and were separated by a few impressions in the U+R markets. Besides combined markets, Star Plus retained its leadership in the urban markets too while Zee Anmol led the rural markets.
Among top five shows in U+R markets, Zee TV held three slots where Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs topped the chart while Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya were at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions.
Top channels in U+R markets
As per select BARC India data for Week 29 (July 15-21) of 2017 for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Star Plus stayed on the top slot with 632.153 million Impressions, while Zee TV, at No. 2, grabbed 632.048 million Impressions. Losing significant viewership, Rishtey slipped to No. 4 position in the combined markets, while Zee Anmol rose to No. 4 with 612.945 million Impressions. Rishtey garnered 589.493 million Impressions. Sony Pal was at No. 5 with 573.002 million Impressions. Colors remained at No. 6 position with 504.216 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television was at No. 7 with 399.377 million Impressions.
Sony SAB slipped to No. 8 with 389.089 million Impressions. Life OK and Star Utsav trailed at No. 9 and 10 with 366.170 million and 281.863 million Impressions, respectively.
Top shows in U+R markets
As per select data {HSM (U+R): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 - 2330 hours): 2+ Individuals}, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs claimed the top position with 11.462 million Impressions. Naagin – Season 2 on Rishtey climbed to No. 2 with 10.508 million Impressions. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya and its spin off fiction Kundali Bhagya has stood at No. 3 and 4 in the top shows’ list in the combined markets with 9.986 million Impressions and 9.854 million Impressions. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai trailed at No. 5 with 8.460 million Impressions.
Top channels in Urban markets
Star Plus retained its urban lead with 435.105 million Impressions. Zee TV too remained at No. 2 position with 380.171 million Impressions. Colors stayed at No. 3 position with 3445.848 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television is at No. 4 with 288.465 million Impressions, followed by Sony SAB that too stayed at No. 5 with 284.646 million Impressions. Life OK stood at No. 6 with 235.322 million Impressions. &TV climbed to No. 7 with 161.702 million Impressions. Sony Pal maintained its position at No. 8 with 160.155 million Impressions. Rishtey slipped to No. 9 position in Urban markets with 145.434 million Impressions. Zee Anmol trailed at No. 10 with 132.419 million Impressions.

As per select data {HSM (urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800-2330 hours): 2+ Individuals}, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs and Kumkum Bhagya topped the most watched programmes’ list with 7.632 million Impressions and 6.040 million Impressions, respectively. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai climbed to No. 3 with 5.952 million Impressions, followed by Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya garnered 5.929 million Impressions at No. 4. Colors’ Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki trailed at No. 5 in the urban markets with 5.465 million Impressions.

Zee Anmol held on to the top spot with 48.526 million Impressions, while Rishtey too stayed at No. 2 garnering 444.059 million Impressions. Sony Pal stayed on to No. 3 in rural markets with 412.847 million Impressions. Zee TV remained at No. 4 with 251.876 million Impressions. Star Utsav too stayed at No. 5 with 212.020 million Impressions, followed by its elder sibling Star Plus stood at No. 6 with 197.047 million Impressions while Colors slipped by a spot. Big Magic came up at No. 7 with 171.172 million Impressions, followed by Colors with 158.368 million Impressions. Life OK and Sony Entertainment Television trailed at No. 9 and No. 10 with 130.848 million Impressions and 110.911 million Impressions.
Top programmes in Rural markets
Rishtey’s Naagin - Season 2 continued to top the list of most watched programmes list by garnering 8.199 million Impressions. Zee Anmol’s Jamai Raja stood at No. 2 with 5.389 million Impressions, followed by Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Baalveer and CID garnered 4.961 million Impressions, 4.937 million Impressions and 4.607 million Impressions at No. 3, 4 and 5.
