While most rankings remained similar across the three markets, Colors has climbed two positions up in the combined (U+R) markets, as per BARC India’s data for Week 20 (May 13-19). It’s flagship show Naagin - Season 2 has slipped by two positions to be ranked at No. 3 in the urban markets.
Star Plus and Sony Pal continued to lead in the urban and rural respective markets. The rankings in the most watched programmes list are also not changed much. While Sony Pal was on the top of the channels’ list in the rural markets, within the top programmes chart, Zee Anmol’s shows grabbed the top two spots.
Top channels in U+R markets
As per select BARC India data for Week 20 (May 13-19) of 2017 for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Star Plus remained on top garnering 637.109 million Impressions. Sony Pal stayed at No. 2 clocking 588.225 million Impressions. Zee TV too stayed at No. 3 with 503.242 million Impressions followed by Colors that climbed a step to reach No. 4 with 487.807 million Impressions. Zee Anmol slipped to No. 5 with 475.426 million Impressions. Rishtey followed at No. 6 with 468.234 million Impressions. At No. 7, Sony SAB garnered 432.421 million Impressions. Star Utsav, at No. 8, garnered 376.294 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television was at No. 9 with 350.216 million Impressions, followed by Life OK at No. 10 with 342.264 million Impressions.

Colors’ Naagin – Season 2 stayed at No. 2 with 9.881 million Impressions. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai at No. 3 garnered 9.389 million Impressions. Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs stood at No. 4 with 8.495 million Impressions. Zee Anmol’s Jamai Raja at No. 5 garnered 7.788 million Impressions.

Star Plus retains its urban lead with 427.931 million Impressions. At No. 2, Colors garnered 317.817 million Impressions. Zee TV stood at No. 3 with 291.346 million Impressions while Sony SAB stood at No. 4 with 266.924 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television is at No. 5 with 246.461 million Impressions. Life OK stood at No. 6 with 223.864 million Impressions followed by Sony Pal which garnered 152.520 million Impressions. &TV stood at No. 8 with 123.444 million Impressions followed by Rishtey with 118.519 million Impressions. Star Utsav stood at No. 10 with 97.824 million Impressions.

As per select data {HSM (urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hours): 2+ Individuals}, Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya has taken a lead in the urban markets with 6.530 million Impressions, followed by Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai with 6.445 million Impressions. Colors’ Naagin - Season 2 slipped to No. 3 with 6.400 million Impressions. At No. 4, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs garnered 5.431 million Impressions. Colors’ Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki stood at No. 5 with 4.699million Impressions.

Sony Pal continued to lead rural markets garnering 435.704 million Impressions. Zee Anmol took second position with 382.853 million Impressions and Rishtey too continued at No. 3 with 349.715 million Impressions. Star Utsav stood at No. 4 with 278.469 million Impressions. Zee TV stood at No. 5 with 211.895 million Impressions. Star Plus stood at No. 6 with 209.177 million Impressions while Colors followed with 169.990 million Impressions. At No. 8, Sony SAB garnered 165.497 million Impressions followed by Big Magic with 142.808 million Impressions. Life OK trailed at No. 10 with 118.399 million Impressions.

Zee Anmol’s Jamai Raja continued at the top spot in the rural programmes chart as it garnered 6.503 million Impressions. Zee Anmol’s Tashan E Ishq stood at No. 2 with 5.255 million Impressions. Sony Pal’s Baalveer followed with 5.050 million Impressions followed by Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah with 4.839 million Impressions. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya was at No. 5 with 4.754 million Impressions.
