New Delhi: In the run-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, India Today Group recently rolled out on-ground activation “Suniye Netaji”.

At the 2024 edition of India Today Conclave, India Today Group Vice-Chairperson and Executive Editor-in-Chief Kalli Purie displayed the group’s prowess in executing activation at a large scale.

Talking about the activation in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Purie said, “My team is also thinking of innovative ideas like your team, Prime Minister.”

“We launched a new initiative, Suniye Netaji, in 100 plus towns, where citizens engaged with their favourite politicians by talking to their life-size cutouts on camera,” she said.

The group that operates Aaj Tak and India Today TV targeted 100 plus towns across 10 states.

Talking about the response, Purie said, “I was amazed at the amount of feedback, ideas, and best wishes the common man and women had for you, Prime Minister. We have over 50,000 postcards to send to you.”

India Today Group Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Aroon Purie handed over a token bundle to the Prime Minister.

While a few videos of the participants were played at the event, one of the postcards displayed at the conclave had a SWOT analysis of the Narendra Modi government done by a common man.

Through this activation, the India Today group aimed to engage the viewers right before the announcement of the poll schedule and secure an edge over the competition channels.
