New Delhi: Omnicom media agency PHD has been re-appointed to Volkswagen's global media account, valued at £2 billion, after a lengthy pitch process.

This account includes over 30 markets, covering brands like VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche, Bentley, commercial vehicles, and the truck business MAN.

PHD will support Volkswagen under a new operating model that leverages resources from across Omnicom Media Group.

The review began in 2021, as PHD's contract was set to expire at the end of that year. However, in November 2022, Volkswagen extended the PHD contract until the end of 2024, temporarily putting the review on hold.

PHD has managed the account since 2016, after winning it from MediaCom, which had been Volkswagen's global media agency since 1998.
