New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is hosting a global AI summit on July 3-4 to address artificial intelligence issues.
The 'Global IndiaAI Summit 2024' aims to position India as a global AI innovation leader, ensuring AI's benefits reach all and support socio-economic growth.
The two-day event in the national capital underscores the government's commitment to responsible AI development and adoption, according to a statement from the Ministry.
Speakers include Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada, and various industry leaders.
The summit will bring together international AI experts from science, industry, civil society, governments, international organizations, and academia to discuss key AI challenges.
"This event highlights the Indian government's dedication to advancing AI responsibly and promoting global collaboration and knowledge sharing," the statement said.
As the chair of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), India will also welcome member countries and experts to further GPAI's goals of safe and trustworthy AI, the statement added.
