Aparna Purohit on her way out of Prime Video

Delhi: Aparna Purohit, the head of India and SEA Originals at Amazon Prime Video, has resigned. 

Sources close to the development told BestMediaInfo.com. 

However, her departure has not been officially confirmed by Prime Video.

Purohit has had a significant tenure with Prime Video, having joined the OTT platform as head of creative development in January 2016. 

She was promoted to head of India Originals in April 2019 and took on her most recent role as head of India and SEA Originals in November 2022.

Her career in the film industry began as a line producer at UTV Motion Pictures. 

Purohit also held positions at Reliance Big Entertainment and Mumbai Mantra Media, served as the Creative Head of Production at Cinestaan Film Company, and was the Project Manager of Film Bazaar at the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
