Delhi: Mountain Dew has turned the Sharjah Cricket Stadium into the world's first cricket field made from a blend of Indian and Pakistani cricket turf: transforming the sports venue into a ‘Common Ground.’

The Common Ground becomes a place where cricketers can play on both Indian and Pakistani turf.

To mark the launch last month, local male and female amateur cricketers and fans from the UAE played a special match at the Common Ground.

Talking on this, Mira Medhat, Head of Marketing in the Gulf region for PepsiCo., said, “As the Marketing Director for Mountain Dew, I am excited to unveil the Common Ground at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium. This initiative blends Indian and Pakistani cricket turf, symbolizing the unity and passion for cricket that connects us all. Mountain Dew is dedicated to bringing fans together, and the Common Ground exemplifies this mission."

Avid cricket fans were also invited to the Common Ground for a viewing party to watch India and Pakistan play each other on Sunday, June 9.
