Cannes Lions 2024: India bags a bronze and silver lion on day 4

Leo Burnett bagged silver in Creative Effectiveness category while Ogilvy bagged bronze in Creative Strategy category

Cannes: India bagged one silver and one bronze lion on day 4 of Cannes Lions 2024. So far, India has earned 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 7 Bronze at Cannes 2024. 

Day 4 honoured bronze and silver lions in Brand Experience & Activation Lions, Creative Business Transformation Lions, Creative Commerce Lions, Creative Effectiveness Lions, Creative Strategy Lions, Innovation Lions and Luxury and Lifestyle Lions.

Except for Creative Effectiveness and Creative Strategy, India drew blank in other categories.

Winners from India on Day 4

Leo Burnett bagged a silver lion in the Creative Effectiveness category for the ‘Oreo #BringBack2011’ campaign for Oreo. 

Commenting on the win, Rajdeepak Das, CCO Publicis Groupe - South Asia and Chairman Leo Burnett - South Asia, said, “To be picked as a Creative Effectiveness winner you have to be the best of the best consistently. And we couldn’t be prouder to take home a silver for our Mondelez Oreo #BringBack2011 campaign. This campaign is a powerful example of how creativity can play an effective role in driving business, fostering a deeper connection with the audiences and building the brand.”

Ogilvy bagged a bronze lion in the Creative Strategy category for the ‘Vi Human Network’ campaign for Vodafone Idea. 

India had no winners in the Brand Experience & Activation category. 

Leo Burnett and McCann had 2 shortlists each and Ogilvy and FCB had one shortlist each in the Brand Experience & Activation Lions. 

Leo Burnett had 3 shortlists in the Creative Effectiveness Lions. Ogilvy had 3 shortlists in the Creative Strategy Lions while Leo Burnett had one in the same. 

India had no shortlists in the Creative Business Transformation Lions, Creative Commerce Lions, Innovation Lions and Luxury and Lifestyle Lions. 

For the first time, Cannes Lions has decided to announce the Silver and Bronze winners at 2:30 pm each day before the evening gala event, where the Gold, Grand Prix, and Special Awards winners will be revealed.
