X to unveil weekly series with WWE as part of push into video

Elon Musk-owned social media platform X has reportedly partnered with World Wrestling Entertainment for a new weekly series.

According to media reports, the new format called WWE Speed will feature matches which are meant to be completed in five minutes or less. WWE will release 52 episodes annually over the course of a two-year deal.

The platform, however, did not specify which wrestlers would be involved. This announcement was made during the WWE’s WrestleMania Kickoff event, teasing the upcoming 40th annual WrestleMania scheduled for April in Philadelphia.

X did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but it believes that high-quality video content can help the site attract more advertising dollars. The company has faced financial challenges since Musk's tumultuous takeover, stated the reports.
