Following the launch of his latest venture - 'deKoder,' designed to deliver election analyses and insights through digital platforms, Prannoy Roy, former chairperson and founder of NDTV, has elevated the use of AI in news to a new standard by unveiling AI-translated and voice-cloned programming in Hindi.
The first episode of 'deKoder,' titled 'Top Ten Trends of 2024,' featuring investor and author Ruchir Sharma and Roy, was recently released.
The nearly 58-minute episode has been translated into Hindi and was broadcasted on January 18. It's worth mentioning that the AI-generated voices in Hindi closely resemble the authentic voices of Roy and Sharma.
A dedicated official X account, 'deKoder Hindi,' has also been launched to provide comprehensive updates based on deKoder’s original programming.
'deKoder' is an AI-driven website and app, crafted with the aim of unravelling complex global matters. Its scope encompasses a wide range, from dissecting election dynamics to delving into substantial global events.
Moreover, 'deKoder' aims to reach a wide range of people by offering content in 15 different Indian languages.
Earlier, Roy said, “It will have the largest talk of information and data on elections and world events. The aim of artificial intelligence on 'deKoder' is to enable you to do your own analyses. The launch of 'deKoder' will be done step by step over the next few weeks and months.”
