During the third quarter of the present fiscal year, Godrej increased its expenditure on advertising and publicity by 24.47% YoY, amounting to Rs 343.27 crore. In the corresponding quarter of the previous year, it had allocated Rs 275.78 crore for the same purposes.
In the quarter concluding on December 31, 2023, the FMCG giant's total expenses totalled Rs 2,939.39 crore, marking a 1.01% decrease from the Rs 2,969.52 crore expended in Q3FY23.
The conglomerate's total income rose from Rs 3,642.07 crore in Q3FY23 to Rs 3,729.72 crore in the third quarter ending December 31, 2023.
With that said, the company's revenue from operations also experienced a 1.69% year-over-year growth, reaching Rs 3,659.64 crore in Q3FY24, compared to the Rs 3,598.92 crore generated during Q3FY23.
In Q3FY24, the FMCG giant's profit after taxes showed a 6.36% year-on-year increase to Rs 581.06 crore. In the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year, it had recorded a profit of Rs 546.34 crore.
