Zee Media to appoint Abhay Ojha as CEO

Zee Media has initiated the process of appointing Abhay Ojha as its CEO. 

In a statement on BSE, Zee Media shared, “We wish to inform you that, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Company, at its meeting held on February 14, 2023, considered the candidature of Abhay Ojha, for appointment as Chief Executive Officer (‘CEO’) and Key Managerial Personnel (‘KMP’) of the Company and advised the management to file the necessary application with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ('Ministry') for obtaining the prior approval of the Ministry, as required under the Up-linking Guidelines.”

Zee Media appointed Ojha as the Chief Business Officer of the company in November 2022. 

Ojha joined Zee Media Corp in February 2022 as the P&L Head for Cluster-3 (Zee MP/CG, Zee UP/UK, Zee PHH, Zee Delhi NCR Haryana and Zee Salam.

Previously, he was CEO of the video app Changa for close to six months.

Ojha is credited for launching Marathi News Channel Maharastra1 as one of the founders between 2015-2017.

A hardcore sales professional with over 26 years of experience, Ojha started his career with HUL as Territory Sales Incharge in 1996.

He moved to media sales in 2000 and worked with top media brands such as Turner, Star TV, Zee TV, IndusInd and Shop CJ.
