LS Digital had conducted a clothes contribution drive in collaboration with Goonj at its Mumbai office.
“The CSR activity, which began in the last week of October, witnessed employees coming in large numbers to give their old and unused clothes for a noble cause. Goonj will repurpose and distribute these clothes to the remote communities of India,” said the company statement.
“The clothes contribution drive drew a lot of attention at the LS Digital Mumbai facility. Employees came in large numbers to give their unused clothes and contributed towards this meaningful and socially responsible initiative. It also helped LS Digital foster a sense of purpose amongst employees and encouraged meaningful engagements,” the statement further added.
Anshuman Misra, SVP (Human Resources Development), LS Digital, said, “We witnessed an overwhelming response for this drive, where in our employees came in large numbers to contribute clothing that can be repurposed and reused by those who are in greater need. I thank Goonj for the excellent work they are doing and look forward to many more such initiatives with them.”
Susaana, Team Goonj, said, “It is a great initiative that LS Digital has taken, and hope collection drive happens consistently. The employees could also take up other employee engagement activities of Goonj as well”
