Vivendi, the French media giant, has announced a 3.1% year-on-year increase in Q3 revenue, reaching €2.43 billion, propelled by the growth in Canal+ Group and Havas segments.
Havas posted robust organic net revenue growth of 5% in the quarter (with a 4.3% increase for the first nine months of 2023), driven by remarkable expansion in Latin America.
Canal+ Group reported a 5.7% revenue increase in the quarter, and a 3.9% rise for the first nine months of 2023, largely fueled by Studiocanal's 23.6% growth and a 3.3% expansion in French pay-TV.
Yannick Bolloré, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, commented, “Canal+ Group’s strong performances are the result of its operational excellence and a willingness to make significant investments in original content for cinema and television. Through its recent agreements with Viu, for development in South-East Asia, and with Viaplay, in the Nordic countries, Canal+ Group demonstrated its ambition to be an international player in the audiovisual field.”
