Elon Musk tests Twitch-like live streaming feature on X

Elon Musk's social media platform X, recently tested a new video game live-streaming feature, positioning itself as a competitor to platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

Musk initiated this by live-streaming his gameplay of Diablo IV in a Sunday session and followed it up with another live on Monday.

The October 3rd livestream lasted approximately 40 minutes and attracted 1.5 million viewers who watched the billionaire play the video game.

Towards the conclusion of the live stream, the billionaire mentioned that the chat option during live streams would be exclusively available to Twitter Blue subscribers. Additionally, viewers have the ability to share the livestream video and engage in picture-in-picture mode while navigating Twitter.

Many users on the platform expressed concerns about problems such as screen flickering and a high-pitched voice frequency. Musk himself acknowledged that there are improvements needed for the live-streaming feature.

In contrast, Musk's prior broadcast extended for about 52 minutes, with a significant portion of the stream's initial moments dedicated to resolving technical difficulties.

Musk wrote on X, “Tested the X video game streamer system last night. It works! Will try to complete a Tier 100 Nightmare dungeon tonight live on this platform."
