Vi elevates Hamid Eqbal to VP-Marketing

After being associated with telecom major as General Manager- Business Management for more than three years, Hamid Iqbal has now assumed the role of VP- Marketing at Vi.

Earlier in September 2020, Vodafone Idea was rebranded as Vi.

He had joined Vodafone Idea as GM- Marketing in August 2018, after the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular went through as he was the AGM- Marketing at the latter for more than four-and-a-half years.

Prior to this, he was Senior Manager-Marketing at Tata Docomo for four-and-a-half years.

He had first joined Idea Cellular as Product Manager in March 2008 and served in the role for nearly one-and-a-half years.

In the past, he was also associated with Reliance Communications, Reliance Retail, Bharti Airtel and Asian Paints.
