Ravish Kumar has stepped down from his position as Head of Regional Entertainment (Kannada and Marathi Clusters) at Viacom18, concluding his 12-year tenure with the company.
He joined Viacom18 in 2011. In his role, Kumar worked towards elevating the consolidated regional broadcast portfolio, consisting of Colors Bangla, Kannada, Super, Odiya, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil and Colors Kannada Cinema to the stature of Hindi mass entertainment channels.
“After more than a decade of driving Colors Kannada and Colors Marathi to be the preferred television destinations of Regional Entertainment within their respective markets and demographics, Ravish Kumar will be moving on from Viacom18 to pursue his individual aspirations. Prior to joining Viacom 18, Kumar was the Executive Vice-President and Business Head - Regional Channels at Star TV and a Global Category Director at Reckitt Benckiser.
With a career spanning over 23 years, Kumar has also worked with McCormick and Company, Bristol-Myers Squibb, ConAgra Foods and ITC Agri Businesses Division.
