Having announced the launch date of Google Pixel 8 on October 4 via an ad video that formed a part of Google’s #BestPhonesForever video series, the tech major has taken a jibe at Apple, which as per reports is bringing the USB Type-C feature to iPhone 15.
A couple of days back, Apple announced that the launch of its iPhone 15 series will take place on September 12.
Titled #BestPhonesForever, Google’s video series showcases Apple iPhone and Google Pixel come alive and striking a conversation with each other whilst playing football, creating reaction videos, or even indulging in conversations where the two open up to each other, with all videos ending in the unveiling of the new features of Google Pixel series’ editions.
This time too, the story is no different.
Opening up with both iPhone and Pixel rejuvenating in a Spa room, both the smartphones engage in a discussion around how having a spa day was the perfect idea amidst the upcoming launch events, which only get harder over time.
The conversation then undergoes a throwback phase wherein iPhone goes nostalgic over its first launch that happened 16 years back wherein the former was applauded over the ‘slide to unlock’ feature.
Cut to now, when most smartphones have features and functions such as unblurring old photos, answering unknown calls with AI or even live translating messages, that it cannot perform, the iPhone points out that it has still got a few tricks up its sleeve.
Taking the lead from there, Pixel then asks iPhone whether the iPhone is finally getting USB-C charging in its latest edition.
With the context being set in that regard, the video then ends in a one liner- ‘Rest up for October 4’.
