Debabrata Mukherjee, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Emami Agrotech has called it quits at the edible oil and bio-diesel arm of Emami Group of Companies.
He had been associated with the company since November, last year. Having moved on from Emami, he will now be donning the CEO hat for Bata Bangladesh.

Mukherjee, with a 29-year career in General Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Business Strategy, and Innovation, held the position of CMO at the United Breweries Group before joining Emami Agrotech. During his tenure from April 2019, he managed a diverse portfolio of local and global brands, including Kingfisher, Ultra, Heineken, and Amstel for over three-and-a-half years.
Previously, he was also associated with HT Media as Executive Director for a period of one year and more than four years with Coca-Cola India and South West Asia across various roles like VP- South West Asia Operations, VP- Marketing and Commercial and VP- Strategy and Innovation.
In the time period between April 2016 and January 2018, he was also associated with ABP Group as an Independent Director and Member of the Board in a part-time role.
He also served as Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Korea for a period of more than three-and-a-half years.
In fact, having started his career as Area Sales Manager, Hindustan Unilever, in 1994, Mukherjee had first joined Coca-Cola in June 1998 as Sales Manager and then got elevated to the roles of GM- Operations, GM- Marketing and later Director- Marketing in March 2006.
