Asianet unveils Onam programming line-up

Asianet has unveiled its Onam programmes as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Asianet's Onam lineup includes an array of world television premieres, TV star-led celebrations, telefilms, music galas, comedy sketches, culinary shows, and more.

Uthradam Day (August 28):

On Uthradam Day, the festivities kick off with the screening of the film "Bhishma Parvam," starring Mammootty, at 9 am. At 12 noon, one can tune in for a program titled "Oppam Ennum Eppozhum," where directors Priyadarshan and Sathyan Anthikkad will share anecdotes from the careers of actors Innocent and Mamukoya. At 1 pm, stage event “ Singapore Onam Nite 2023 “ will feature celebrities like Suresh Gopi, KS Chitra, Suraj Venjaramood, Ramesh Pisharadi, Madhu Balakrishnan, Navya Nair, Harish Kanaran, Nithya Mammen, Shruti Lakshmi, Malavika, Anna Prasad, Kalabhavan Joshi, Devi Chandana, and others. Organised in collaboration with the Singapore Malayali Association, this event promises entertainment galore, followed by the world television premieres of two superhit films - "Pookalam" at 4 pm, showcasing journey of love, loss, and family secrets, and "Pachuvum Albhuthavilakkum" at 7:30 pm, starring Fahad Fazil, Mukesh, Vineeth, Shanti Krishna, and more.

Thiruvonam Day (August 29):

On Thiruvonam Day, one can join the celebration at 9 am with the family entertainer "Bro Daddy," featuring Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Lalu Alex, Meena, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Kaniha. At 12:30 pm, a special program "Arupathinte Niravil Vanambadi KS Chitra" will be telecast. At 1:30 pm, the program "Suraj and the Bossaya Tarangalum," led by film star Suraj Venjaramood and featuring the main contestants from five seasons of Bigg Boss will be showcased. At 3 pm, the stars of the show "Cinemala" will unite for a special reunion.

The evening will continue with the world television premiere of the family entertainer "Janaki Jane" at 4 pm, starring Saiju Kurup and Navya Nair and the blockbuster movie “ 2018 “at 7 pm.

World Television Premieres:

• On August 26 at 4 pm, catch "Madhurum," featuring Joju George, Arjun Ashok, Shruti Ramachandran, Nikhila Vimal, and others.
