Asianet presents a lineup of Onam programs

Asianet announced a lineup of Onam programmes as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Asianet’s Onam lineup includes world television premieres, TV programs, telefilms, music galas, comedy sketches, culinary shows, and more.

Uthradam Day (August 28)

On Uthradam Day, the festivities kick off with the screening of ‘Bhishma Parvam,’ starring Mammootty, at 9 am. At 12 noon, a program titled ‘Oppam Ennum Eppozhum,’ will air. At 1 PM,  watch stage event ‘Singapore Onam Nite 2023’  featuring  Suresh Gopi, KS Chitra, Suraj Venjaramood, Ramesh Pisharadi, Madhu Balakrishnan, Navya Nair, Harish Kanaran, Nithya Mammen, Shruti Lakshmi, Malavika, Anna Prasad, Kalabhavan Joshi, Devi Chandana, and others. Organised in collaboration with the Singapore Malayali Association, the event will be followed by the world television premieres of films - ‘Pookalam’ at 4 pm, and ‘Pachuvum Albhuthavilakkum’ at 7:30 pm, starring Fahad Fazil, Mukesh, Vineeth, Shanti Krishna, and more.

Thiruvonam Day (August 29):

On Thiruvonam Day, at 9 am, watch ‘Bro Daddy,’ featuring Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Lalu Alex, Meena, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Kaniha. At 12:30 pm, indulge in the program ‘Arupathinte Niravil Vanambadi KS Chitra.’ At 1:30 pm, watch the program ‘Suraj and the Bossaya Tarangalum,’ led by film actor Suraj Venjaramood and featuring main contestants from five seasons of Bigg Boss. At 3 pm, the cast of the show ‘Cinemala’ unite for a special reunion.

The channel has lined up the world television premiere of ‘Janaki Jane’ at 4 pm, starring Saiju Kurup and Navya Nair and the movie ‘2018’ at 7 pm.

World Television Premieres:

• August 26, 2023, at 4 pm - ‘Madhurum,’ featuring Joju George, Arjun Ashok, Shruti Ramachandran, Nikhila Vimal, and others.
• August 27, 2023, at 3:30 pm - satirical movie ‘Purushpretam.’

Also, on August 26 and August 27, 2023, watch Onam special editions of ‘Star Singer’ at 7:30 pm, and ‘Start Music’ at 9 pm. Additionally, Asianet will be broadcasting Onam-themed programmes, musical treats, culinary delights, and popular series throughout the Onam season.
