Dainik Jagran-inext successfully conducted Healthon Lucknow on March 26.
The Healthon was flagged off at Janeshwar Mishra Park, Lucknow.
The event saw a footfall of thousands of people across age groups who participated in 3 run categories, a 2KM Fun Run, a Fitness Run of 5KM, and a Freedom run of 11 KM.
Each of the participants in different running categories had been given a T-shirt and color-coded bands for differentiation. Participants
had to take a U-turn at half the distance as per the category and finish the run
at the starting point.
For ease of participants, directions signs, route maps, and
water counters were placed along the route of Healthon.
Apart from the various social clubs, school children, fitness enthusiasts, NCC cadets, and RJs, sports personalities such as Sudha Singh, an Olympic athlete, Lalit Upadhyay, an Indian Hockey player also became part of the event.
Sports ministers and various government officials shared their words of encouragement and boosted the morale of the participants. The winners of Healthon were given prizes worth Rs 1 lakh and multiple gift vouchers and goodies.
“In a 20-day long registration drive, the response from the audience has been overwhelming. With 8500+ confirmed registrations from both offline and online mediums, the expectations for delivering a quality experience was already high. I am glad that the event was successful and people enjoyed and took the initiative to include running in their daily lives for a healthy and fit lifestyle,” said Chetan Sehgal, Brand Head, Dainik Jagran-inext.
In this carnival cum running event, people enjoyed live performances from various local artists, engaged with sponsored stalls, captured moments at selfie zones, and enjoyed refreshments after the long run.
After the successful Lucknow event, Dainik Jagran-inext is all set to bring this event to
Kanpur in the next phase.
Healthon Kanpur will be conducted in April with the motto of encouraging audiences to live a healthy lifestyle by including running as a practice.
