Binoy Prabhakar becomes Chief Content Officer for HT Digital

HT Media Group has appointed Binoy Prabhakar as its new Chief Content Officer of HT Digital.

He is taking over the role from Prasad Sanyal. Sanyal joined HT Digital in 2019 and spearheaded the launch of multiple initiatives that propelled HT Digital. Alongside the growth of new sites such as HTTech.com and HTBangla.com, he also facilitated growth for the company’s core websites - Hindustantimes.com, LiveHindustan.com, and LiveMint.com.

Prabhakar will play a key role in driving the content growth strategy for all digital offerings of the Group and retaining the leadership of its news sites through quality content.

HT Digital Streams includes over 15 digital assets, including LiveMint.com, Hindustan Times, Live Hindustan, Shine.com, and VCCircle.

Prabhakar has an experience of over 20 years in the media industry and expertise in digital media.

Prior to joining HT Media Group, he served as the Executive Editor at Moneycontrol. He has also held several senior positions across media houses in India, including The Economic Times, The Indian Express, and The Times of India.

He was the founding editor of CNBCTV18.com. He started his career with Hindustan Times as a copy editor in 2001.
