Colors Tamil, Viacom18’s Tamil entertainment channel, premiered the all-female protagonist movie ‘Kannitheevu’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead, the film is an intense crime thriller that is centred around four socially conscious women who lock heads with political bigwigs. Directed and produced by Sundar Balu, the movie also features actors Subhiksha, Aishwarya Dutta, Motta Rajendran, Livingston and Ashna Zaveri in lead roles.
The story follows four long-time friends – Madhi (played by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar), Aishwarya (played by Aishwarya Dutta), Subhiksha (played by Subhiksha) and Kani (played by Ashna Zaveri) who decide to fight against an anti-social problem in their neighbourhood. While taking the matters in their hands leads them to victory, they come head-to-head in a battle with political bigwigs. Filled with intense action sequences, the movie captures the struggles of the four female friends and their victory from adversities in an enticing manner. With enticing visuals and lively music the film also has K Chitti Babu as its cinematographer and Arrol Corelli for music and background score.
