Oppo India announces the appointment of Alfa Wang as President

Oppo India, the smartphone brand, has announced the appointment of Alfa Wang as its President.

The appointment becomes effective from Wednesday. 

In his new role, Wang will lead the company’s business strategy and strengthen OPPO’s commitment towards the Make in India initiative.

Wang joined Oppo in 2008, he has been in charge of production, procurement, and administration, he successfully advanced the organisational efficiency, expedited the operation speed, and upgraded internal execution ability efficiently. 

Wang has been with Oppo India since 2017, while spearheading the company’s manufacturing, he also executed the Make in India plan.

Along with this, Wang has contributed to various other manufacturing projects across management levels. Wang will focus on supporting Oppo India to increase its synergies for innovation in the country, for India, and the world.

President Elvis Zhou joined Oppo India in 2020 and has played a key role in the brand’s overall success. After contributing to Oppo India’s growth for nearly three years, Zhou will now transition to a global role as Oppo Overseas CMO and will oversee brand building, product marketing, and the overall communication of Oppo’s business in overseas markets.
