Sony Sports Network bags broadcast rights for Saudi Pro League featuring Cristiano Ronaldo

Sony Pictures Networks India has bagged the exclusive media rights to broadcast the Saudi Pro League 2022-2023 in the Indian subcontinent – except Afghanistan.

As part of the deal, the broadcaster will get the exclusive rights to televise the league across the Indian subcontinent – India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and non-exclusively in Afghanistan.

The partnership will also give SPN the rights to live-stream all the matches on its OTT platform, SonyLIV.

Established in 1976, the Saudi Pro League features Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently signed with Al-Nassr Football Club. The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner has joined one of the most successful clubs in the league.

Ronaldo’s inclusion in Al Nassr is a major push for both the club and the league, and the remainder of the 2023 season is poised to be one of the most exciting in the history of the Saudi Pro League.

Audience can catch the live coverage of Roshn Saudi League 2022/23 – Al-Wehda vs Al Nassr on Sony Sports Ten 2 and Sony Sports Ten 2 HD channels on February 9, 2023 from 11 pm (IST).
