11 channels allocated MPEG-4 slots on DD Freedish

11 channels have been allocated the MPEG-4 slots on DD Freedish at the fifth annual e-auction (66th e-auction). The results are for the period between April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.

The channels that secured a slot are Aastha Bhajan, Aastha Tamil, Bansal News, Chardikala Time TV, MH One Dil Se, News18 UP/UK, News State UP/UK, RT, Sudarshan News,  Swadesh News, Vedic.

The auction was held on February 16, 2023. The reserve price for the bidding for all genre channels was Rs 50 lakh per annum.

DD Freedish is the free-to-air (FTA) direct-to-home (DTH) platform and reaches more than 50 million households in the country. The reach of MPEG-4 (HD quality) is estimated to be more than 4 million.
