Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL) Friday informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that its Managing Director & CEO Prashant Panday has stepped down.
Panday has been assoicated with the company for over 22 years. He was promoted to MD and CEO in 2014.
ENIL, in a statutory filing to BSE, said, “Prashant Panday has requested to be relieved due to other preoccupations and has tendered his resignation from the position of the Managing Director as well as Directorship of the Company with effect from the close of business hours on January 31, 2023.”
“The Board of Directors has accordingly considered and accepted the aforesaid resignation of Mr. Panday from the position of the Managing Director as well as the Directorship of the Company with effect from the close of business hours on January 31, 2023,” the company added.
“The Board of Directors places on record their appreciation for his invaluable contributions to the Company and for building Brand Mirchi into a power brand over the last 22 years and wishes him the best in his future endeavors,” ENIL said.
An Engineering graduate in Electronics & Communications and IIM-Bangalore graduate, Panday has worked across industries ranging from advertising, banking, FMCG to media.
Prior to Radio Mirchi, he worked with Citibank, Pepsi, HUL, Mudra and Modi Revlon. His areas of strength include Marketing & Sales, Analytics & Strategy and people management. He also served as a member of the I&B Ministry's committee on fighting piracy.
