Network18’s Hindi news channel News18 India on Tuesday launched a print campaign announcing its leadership for week Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh went to polls.
In a front page ad in the Delhi Edition of Indian Express, the news channel compared its ratings in terms of reach and market share only with Aaj Tak.
The advertisement said that it had a total reach of 2.04 crore people on December 8 (counting day for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh), exceeding the reach of Aaj Tak which stood at 1.68 crore (BARC; Cum reach, NCCS All 15+, Market: HSM, Wk 49’22, 24 Hrs, Thursday).
News18 India said that it outperformed top news channels in terms of market share too.
The channel garnered 15.2% market share (BARC; market share%, NCCS All 15+, Market: HSM, Wk 49’22, 24 Hrs, All days) compared with a 13.6% market share of Aaj Tak.
