Meta India’s Country Head, Ajit Mohan has quit the company after about four years.
“Ajit has decided to step down from his role at Meta to pursue another opportunity outside of the company. Over the last four years, he has played an important role in shaping and scaling our India operations so they can serve many millions of Indian businesses, partners and people. We remain deeply committed to India and have a strong leadership team in place to carry on all our work and partnerships. We are grateful for Ajit’s leadership and contribution and wish him the very best for the future,” Nicola Mendelsohn, Vice President, Global Business Group, Meta.
According to the news reports, he has joined Snap, where he will serve as the President of the APAC business.
Mohan joined Meta in January 2019 as MD and VP of the India business.
Before that, he was the CEO at Hotstar for four years. Mohan joined Star in April 2012 as Senior Vice-President, Corporate and was later promoted to the role of Executive Vice-President before becoming the CEO of Hotstar.
In the past, he has worked at McKinsey & Company and Arthur D. Little.
