Amul India has announced that it will be the regional sponsor of Argentina Football Team in FIFA World Cup 2022, starting November 20, in Qatar. This is a first for both- Argentina’s football history and an Indian company.
Amul made the announcement through a post on Instagram.
The Indian dairy player later also came up with a topical post, ‘Masska For Messi’, to make the announcement of their new association.
According to Jayen Mehta, COO, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, “Amul is proud to announce its association with the Argentina Football Association (AFA).”
In an official statement, Claudio Fabian Tapia, President, Argentine Football Association also welcomed the Indian dairy giant as their regional sponsor for the quadrennial event and said, “We are happy to have Amul being AFA’s first regional sponsor in India.”
