ITC's Rajnish Kumar calls it quits

Rajnish Kumar, the Head of Digital and Direct-to-Consumer at ITC, has called it quits after close to 16 years of association.

Kumar stated that going forward he would be focusing on his entrepreneurial journey.

Sharing the news through a post on LinkedIn, Kumar said, “As I hang my boots after a long and fulfilling career at ITC, I am putting on my running shoes for an exciting entrepreneurial journey!”

“I have decided to move forward into growth to spend most of my time building Trendware Solutions Private Limited (SimplexMLM) - a product company which helps in digital transformation of Fashion Organisations. The software is already being used at some of the major Indian fashion enterprises and needs to be taken to the world. At Trendware, We also do some cutting edge work on ML and AI side crunching structured and unstructured big data,” his post read.

“Apart from this, I will be nurturing Rumi - a fine dine restaurant for Awadhi cuisine in Bengaluru. It had always been a dream to bring a part of Lucknow to Bengaluru and Rumi is doing just that! Given my passion and some expertise on the digital strategy, brand marketing and consumer experience side of things, I will also be advising Team Pumpkin on ‘Strategy’ to help them build a world-class enterprise that's ready for the future.”

Kumar started his career in the year 2001 with Walmart as a Merchandise Manager and served in the company till 2006. In the year 2006, he started his journey with ITC as a Category Manager and later joined ITC Infotech as a VP and Global Practice Lead, in which he served from 2010 to 2017.
