While India is celebrating the first-ever “Agency of the year” title won by Dentsu Creative Bengaluru at Cannes Lions 2022, the laurels added by Ogilvy India, Leo Burnett Mumbai and VMLY&R have put India at the second position in the list of both Grand Prix and Titanium winners.
Among the many firsts, India sits at No. 2, behind USA, among Grand Prix and Titanium Lions winners.
India won five Grand Prix this year, including three by Dentsu Creative Bengaluru and one each by Leo Burnett Mumbai and VMLY&R.
USA topped the list with 11 Grand Prix wins including a Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix.
UK too won five Grand Prix including a Titanium Grand Prix. UK has also won a Titanium Lion.
In Titanium, India won two Lions (one each by Dentsu Creative and Ogilvy) while USA won one Lion.
According to the point system of Cannes Lions, Titanium and Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix account for 35 points.
All other Grand Prix, including Grand Prix for Good earns 30 points. The value of a Titanium Lion is equal to a Grand Prix as it earns 30 points as well.
From Grand Prix and Titanium, USA earned 365 points while India’s points stood at 210. On the other hand, total points from Grand Prix and Titanium for UK stood at 185 points.
