Google India onboards Durga Raghunath as Head of News Partnerships

Google has appointed Durga Raghunath as Head of News Partnerships, Google India. 

Before this, she was at Times Internet as Digital Head for Times of India and Mirror Brands. 

In 2018, she joined Zomato as Senior Vice-President, Growth. Prior to that, Raghunath was CEO, Digital at The Indian Express. 

In September 2015, she co-founded Juggernauts Books. As co-founder and CEO, she led a 35+ people team at Juggernauts. Currently, she is a board member and advisor at Juggernauts.

Raghunath has also spent four years at Network18 as CEO, Network18 Digital, where she was responsible for Moneycontrol, Firstpost, IBNLive, News18, Burrp and Mobile across products - news, entertainment, live video, music and listings. In her stint at Network18, she also co-founded Firstpost. 

She has also served as the India Editor, Mobile and New Digital Products at Wall Street Journal. At WSJ, she was responsible for the launch of the WSJ India mobile application, new digital products and various editorial deals.

Before that, she worked as the Managing Editor at LiveMint. 

In the early days of her career, she has also worked at HarperCollins Publishers as Marketing Planner and Assistant Editor, Orient Longman.
