Prasar Bharati is accepting applications for allotment of MPEG-2 slots of DD Freedish DTH platform for the period from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023 through 4th annual e-auction process (58th e-auction) to be tentatively held from March 7, 2022.
The pubcaster said that the e-auction will be conducted in accordance with policy guidelines for allotment of slots.
There is no change in the reserve prices for all the buckets. For Bucket A+, which includes all GEC (Hindi) channels, the reserve price per annum is Rs 15 crore while the reserve price for Bucket A consisting all Hindi Movie channels is Rs 12 crore. The reserve price for the slots under Bucket B consisting all Hindi music, sports and teleshopping channels along with Bhojpuri GEC and Movie channels is Rs 10 crore.
The reserve price for Bucket C for Hindi, English and Punjabi News and Current Affairs channels is Rs 7 crore. The reserve price for all other remaining genre and language channels under Bucket D is Rs 6 crore.
For Bucket R1 consisting Devotional (Spiritual/Aayush channels), the reserve price is Rs 3 crore per annum.
The last date for submission of applications is February 28, 2022 by 3 PM.
DD Freedish is the free-to-air (FTA) direct to home (DTH) platform and reaches more than 40 million households in the country. The MPEG-2 slots carry channels in Standard Difinition (SD) and available to all the subscribers of DD Freedish.
