ET Now & ET Now Swadesh unveil exclusive Budget Day programming under 'Mission Growth: Budget 2022'

ET Now, the English business news channel, and ET Now Swadesh, the Hindi business news channel, have announced an exclusive budget-day programming under the theme, ‘Mission Growth: Budget 2022’. 

The curated line-up of shows will commence from 7 am on February 1. 

Using technology and AR graphics to present a simplified budget analysis, ET Now and ET Now Swadesh will showcase a slew of interactive line-up that will decode Union Budget 2022-23 and its impact, along with dedicated expert advice on stocks, markets, wealth creation ideas, investment insights and more.

Commencing with the Live coverage of the Union Finance Minister’s speech on February 1, the budget day coverage of the two channels will be led by business news anchor Nikunj Dalmia, Managing Editor ET Now & ET Now Swadesh, who will present an in-depth analysis of Budget 2022-23. 

This will be followed by a segment with Swaminathan Aiyar, Indian economist, journalist, and columnist, who will explain the viewers on how Mission Growth has been addressed in the Union Budget. 

A panel of India Inc experts including Vibha Padalkar, MD and CEO HDFC Life; Ashok Tyagi, Whole Time Director and CEO, DLF; Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director (Auto and Farm Sectors), M&M Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD and CEO, Fortis Healthcare; and Rajnish Kumar, Former Chairman, SBI, will analyse the Budget to chart out a growth trajectory. 

The line-up also includes a market panel featuring Prashant Jain, ED and CIO, HDFC Asset Management Company; Madhusudan Kela, Market Veteran; Shankar Sharma, Market Veteran; A Balasubramanian, MD and CEO, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC; S Naren, ED and CIO, ICICI Prudential AMC, who will offer viewers insights on post-budget investment strategy and wealth creation. 

Mythili Bhusnurmath, Consulting Editor, ET NOW will bring the story behind the Budget numbers and will help viewers understand its undertone. 

India’s top chartists will offer their stock recommendations, helping traders profit from the Budget.  While an expert team from Deloitte India, will give the viewers fastest updates on top takes from the Budget.  

The channels are also running a number of digital and on-air short format video content that will simplify the Union Budget for the viewers. Budget explainer, ‘Aasaan Bhaasha Me’ will help viewers get a better sense of this year's budget and inform them in-depth on the emerging points from the Budget and its effects. The segment will also offer a round-up on all Budget related important news.  

‘Jayant Sir Ki Class’ – the show features Former MoS, Finance, Jayant Sinha, who will explain concepts, terms and de-jargonise the budget for the viewers. The show will air on the channels and across the channels’ social media platforms 

‘Will FM hike lagaan on Roti, Kapda, Makaan or will she bring smiles on the faces of Aam Aadmi? Bollywood Tadka’, a special show on the two channels will attempt to decode the Budget in a filmy way.

Furthermore, the two channels have also come up with an on-air contest, ‘Budget Master’ on February 1, 2022. Participants can enter the contest by watching the channels and answering simple questions asked every hour between 9 am to 2 pm.
