In its latest Indian Telecom Services Performance Indicators report, TRAI has reported that pay DTH operators have 69.86 million active subscribers in April-June 2021 quarter, down 1.19% from 70.7 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Among the existing four DTH players, Tata Sky sits at the top with 33.37% market share followed by Airtel with 25.76% share.
Dish d2h has been consistently losing its subscriber base since the last two years and the operator has slipped to No. 3 with 23.45% market share. Sun Direct is at No. 4 with 17.41% market share.
Commenting on its consistent performance, a Tata Sky spokesperson said, “This is an outcome of the service commitment we have to our subscribers and our subscribers’ faith in us.”
