Gaurav Gupta, Head of Supply at food-delivery platform Zomato, and face of the company’s recent IPO, has quit the company.

On Tuesday, Zomato published a blog post that contained an email Gupta wrote to everyone. According to reports, Tuesday was his last working day at the company.

“I am taking a new turn in my life and will be starting a new chapter, taking a lot from this defining chapter of my life – the last six years at Zomato. We have a great team now to take Zomato forward and it’s time for me to take an alternate path in my journey,” Gupta said in the post.

Deepinder Goyal, CEO, thanked Gupta for his journey in the company.

Gupta had joined Zomato in 2015 as Business Head for Table Reservations. In 2018, he was elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, he became the company’s Co-Founder to focus on launching their nutrition business that shut last week.

Gupta was a key face in the run-up of the company’s IPO launch two months ago.
