Kapiva, a homegrown D2C brand has appointed Shantanu, former Senior Director, Marketing and E-commerce (D2C) at Uniqlo India as Chief Operating Officer.
The appointment is in line with Kapiva’s vision of empowering Indian consumers with modern Ayurveda that is accessible and integrating it into their everyday live and Shantanu will be leading Brand, Product, and Strategy at Kapiva.
Shantanu has about 14 years of experience in sales and marketing with global brands. He had joined Uniqlo in 2019 and played a key role in launching and scaling up the brand in India. Prior to this he was with Procter & Gamble for more than ten years as the Brand Design Lead Haircare (Rejoice and Head and Shoudlers) Greater China. In his last three years with P&G in China, a highly evolved eCommerce market, he led marketing for haircare working on some of the cutting edge marketing tools and emerging marketing platforms.

He started his career as a Marine Engineer Officer in Merchant Navy with the fleet of Chevron. Post this, he did his PGDM from IIM Calcutta. He did his B.E in Marine Engineering from Marine Engineering and Research Institute.
