Sony Entertainment Television brings the popular franchise Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, which had established an emotional connect with the audience through the on-screen couple Dev and Sonakshi –addressed by fans as #Devakshi.
Taking the narrative forward, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi – Nayi Kahani, explores the changing dynamics between Dev and Sonakshi as a married couple and as parents. Produced by Beyond Dreams Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the show premieres on July 12, and will air every Monday-Friday at 8:30pm.
Dev and Sonakshi, previously, have taken the audience through a myriad of emotions that reiterated compatibility, understanding, love, compromise, anguish, separation and parenthood. The maiden season saw the protagonists meet, fall in love and fight against all odds to be together, including Dev's overtly protective and possessive mother Ishwari. The second season depicted how Dev and Sonakshi navigate through multiple emotions and issues of compatibility, communication, compromise, and parenthood.
This new chapter in the lives of Dev and Sonakshi will delve into what it takes to keep the spark alive in a relationship, in the face of unforeseen circumstances; and whether time leads to comfort or cracks in the relationship.
Actors Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes will reprise their roles as Dev and Sonakshi, along with Supriya Pilgaonkar returning as Dev's mother Ishwari in the show.
Ashish Golwakar, Head, Content, Sony Entertainment Television and Digital Business, said, “Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi is a widely appreciated franchise and the very fact that its second season was brought following public demand, was a testament to the success of the show. The audience related quite well with the relationship of Dev and Sonakshi, and we are confident the 'nayi kahaani' or this new chapter with a refreshing narrative will resonate with them even further.”
Yash and Mamta Patnaik, Producers, Beyond Dreams Entertainment Pvt Ltd, said, “Love is an emotion for all seasons and reasons. There was a time when stories used to end on hope of a happily ever after. But since its second season, 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' has gone beyond that and looked at the emotional evolution in the life of a couple after their marriage. Our protagonists Dev and Sonakshi, played with finesse by Shaheer and Erica, have been loved for their understated characterisation. It is what lends the story a touch of reality, and that is what we have continued to build upon in this new chapter.”
Shaheer Shaikh, who portrays the character of Dev Dixit, said, “It is always exciting to grow with a show over multiple seasons as it brings you closer to the character and the team in a very special way. Dev Dixit has been one such role, which I have loved playing and have received a lot of love for from the audience as well. The chatter about the upcoming chapter of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi on social media is highly encouraging, and I hope the audience has some interesting takeaways on relationships in this season. It has been wonderful to work with Erica, Supriyaji and all other cast and crew members once again.”
Erica Fernandes, who portrays the character of Sonakshi Bose, said, “Just as every relationship and marriage matures, the writers of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi - Nayi Kahaani, have ensured the story progresses in a very mature way in the upcoming season. It is very special for me to be continuing this journey of Sonakshi, who is at crossroads about where her relationship with her husband stands. My heart fills with joy when people share messages on how much they love the chemistry between Dev and Sonakshi. I hope the audience enjoys watching the new season as much we enjoyed making it and keeps showering us with love!”
Supriya Pilgaonkar, who portrays the character of Ishwari Dixit, said, “As an actor and as a parent, I have found the role of Ishwari interesting and endearing. On one hand she sets an example of a strong mother who has independently raised four children, and on the other hand, she is also insecure as a mother and a mother-in-law. A role with varied shades is always exciting, and I am glad to be back with the team. I am confident that Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi - Nayi Kahaani, will bring a bit of colour to the audience's watchlist on television.”
