Konark Gaur joins Marico as Business Head, New Foods

Konark Gaur has been appointed as the Business Head, New Foods, at Marico. He will be responsible for the scaling up of the new foods business while building a core innovations team and agile mindset.

Gaur, who took up the new role this month, was earlier with Sebamed as Chief Marketing Officer. After working there for more than two years, he left the company last month.

Prior to this, Gaur was with General Mills for over three years as the Regional Marketing Manager Asia, Snacks.

He had founded and was CEO of hijinny.com, a hyper-local, mobile marketplace for beauty professionals in 2015.

Gaur started his career with TCS as a Software Consultant, and then moved to Nestle as Senior Brand Manager.

He comes with more than 16+ years of blue-chip MNC FMCG experience in building successful businesses and brands in India and global markets. He has hands-on experience in building and scaling businesses from ground up, from idea to market value chain at both structured and unstructured start-up environments.

Gaur studied B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Kurukshetra and MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
