Network18 and Viacom18 pay 100% variable salaries irrespective of performance ratings

In an effort to stand by its staff in these trying times, Network18 and Viacom18 has paid all eligible employees the variable portion of remuneration for the last appraisal year, ahead of schedule and before the appraisal process is complete.

The company’s MD Rahul Joshi told his staff that they would be paid 100% of their variable pay irrespective of performance ratings.

“This gesture of 100% variable payout irrespective of performance this year is a small token of the company's appreciation of your efforts during these challenging times,” Joshi wrote in an internal email to Network18 and Viacom18 staff.
