Prashan Agarwal, the CEO of Gaana, has stepped down from his position. Confirming his exit on LinkedIn, Agarwal said, "After an amazing five years of leading Gaana to be the No. 1 music streaming service in India, I am stepping down from my role as CEO and am extremely grateful to my wonderful colleagues, music industry partners and investors who put so much trust and empowerment in enabling me to deliver."

"Special thanks to my mentors Satyan Gajwani #VineetJain who provided me with a platform to make such a remarkable impact to the Indian music ecosystem and bringing entertainment to more than 185 mn+ users across the world and I hope this is just the beginning. There are no words that can describe how sincerely grateful I am for the privilege of working with the best team in India. Thanks to my team for allowing me this honour. Bas Bajna Chahiye Gaana," he added.

Also an Angel investor, Agarwal's previous roles include the Co-founder and CEO of 19miles.com. He was the Co-founder of PropTiger.com from 2011-15. Under his leadership, the streaming platform rose to be the biggest platform in India with almost a 30% market share and more than 150 million downloads.
